The Role

 The CFO will lead the UK finance function and act as the senior financial point of contact for the Board, Group Finance and key principals.

Responsibilities will include:

• Day-to-day leadership of the finance function
• Financial reporting and management accounts
• Cash and treasury management
• Tax planning and compliance
• Audit and risk management
• Legal and corporate matters
• Investment monitoring and due diligence
• Insurance and external adviser relationships
• Board reporting and financial presentations
• Ad hoc financial and commercial projects
• Responding quickly to unexpected or sensitive issues

The finance team is established and experienced. This is not a large-team management role and the successful CFO will need to be comfortable remaining personally involved in the detail.

The Candidate

We are looking for a highly experienced qualified accountant with a broad financial management background.

The successful candidate is likely to have:

• Significant experience as a CFO, Finance Director or equivalent
• Strong accounting, reporting, treasury and tax experience
• Experience working with Boards, owners, principals or senior private stakeholders
• The ability to operate comfortably in both strategic and detailed financial matters
• Strong judgement and the ability to deal with unfamiliar issues quickly
• High levels of discretion, responsiveness and EQ
• A genuinely hands-on approach
• The willingness to undertake routine financial or administrative tasks when required
• Strong communication and prioritisation skills

Experience within a family office, private office or principal-led environment would be particularly relevant, but is not essential.
